We adopted green process printing in 2000, at no extra cost to customers. Our Heidelberg Quickmaster DI waterless offset press eliminates film, photographic plates and the hazardous developers and fixers that come with them.

Environmentally responsible printing in San Diego
Direct to Press uses the DI (Direct Imaging) printing process, which eliminates hazardous waste materials right up to the final step of printing. No film processing is required, plates are imaged without photography, and the disposal problems associated with heavy metals and chemistry are gone, along with their costs.
Because DI is a waterless offset system, fountain solution and alcohol substitutes are also eliminated, and very quick make-ready times significantly reduce paper waste. When you print with this process, you are helping the environment. For stationery, ask about soy-based inks and recycled paper.
